Maximizing Google Adsense Profit

Alright, so now you've got your blog, you've got your Google Adsense account and your ready to start making money. First of all set up ads on your blog. Google Adsense makes this very easy for you with easy to follow guides, but the just of it is go to Adsense Setup and then Adsense for Content, from then on just follow what Google Adsense tells you to do.

Anyways once you've got ads on your page, heres how to maximize your profits in just a few simple steps.
First of all, make sure your blog has high paying keywords. This is a huge one and I'll explain exactly what I mean. Advertising companies pay Google Adsense to put their ads on sites like yours, but different companies pay different amounts for advertising, for example if you were to blog about blue fuzzy robes, you'd make very little money because they're aren't many blogs about blue fuzzy robes, which means theres not much competition.   If you were to make a blog about video games, each time someone clicks on your ad you would receive more money because there are so many blogs about video games so competition is in abundance. You can simply Google search, top paying Google Adsense keywords 2011, and you'll get a list. The hard part of this though is finding a balance, if you pick a subject for your blog that is worth tons of money per click, like website building, you might be getting 2 dollars every time someone clicks your ads, but because there are so many blogs about website building, you might only get 1 or 2 clicks a day, as oppose to blogging about furniture and only getting 40 cents a click, but because there are few blogs about furniture you could get 20 or 30 clicks, so the lower paying per click option ends up paying much more. But I still can't stress enough, blog about something you enjoy blogging about! If you don't enjoy blogging about something but you do it for the money then it ends up seeming like work, and you end up doing it like an essay or a report, and then no one will want to read your blog, plus blogging should be fun!

Step 2 is making sure you regularly update your blog, don't expect to make $20 a day by posting one interesting article then leaving it for 2 weeks, it just takes 5 or 10 minutes a day, just login post a quick little article or update and then log off. No one is going to regularly read your blog if you post 1 article every 2 weeks!

And now, step 3. Make sure you spread your blog around! Get Twitter, and post your blog everywhere, use facebook, post your status as "check out my cool new blog at (yourblogname).blogspot.com!" or "man just wrote a sick new article come check it out at (yourblogname).blogspot.com!" When you create your blog its not just going to automatically become the first hit on Google or any other search engine, its up to you to spread it around. Another tip is just add your blog to your email signature and people will check it out because of curiosity.

Anyways, thats it for now, if you want to know anything just comment with what it is, I'll be posting more updates on how to make more money and other things about Google Adsense again soon!

  1. Thanks for the advice, I've actually been wondering about this kind of stuff... my eCPM has been fluctuating a lot lately, dropping to almost nothing a couple days ago, going back up to a decent amount for a lil, then today it's like a third of what it was. If you could post about eCPM tips etc. on your next post, that would be truly appreciated!

anyways, here's my blog in case anyone's interested; just random posts about my life: http://lifeofbaron.blogspot.com
